Would you water a tree?

We have many new trees in the neighborhood. You may have seen a middle-aged man with a watering can watering the trees. That's me, Kyle, the HOA president. If you've read the updates here, you'll see a common theme is we don't have a lot of money in our budget. We rather don't have enough money to pay what the landscaper would want to continue watering the new trees. I like the trees. I would like to see them live though the hot, dry part of the summer.

If you would also like to see them live, I would encourage you to adopt a tree for watering. Have a new tree outside your house you would like to see live and grow? Give it some water!

The HOA presidency is a completely unpaid position, so if you see me out there, it's just because I want our neighborhood to look nicer with living new trees. It takes a lot of time with my little can though to refill and walk around the neighborhood getting to each tree.

Those green bags around the trees hold water that slowly leaks out to water the tree over time. There is a slit toward the top of each one where you can add water. Or you can just water the tree directly. Every bit helps! All help is appreciated.

We are trying a little at a time to improve the neighborhood within the budget we have.

Kyle Thompson
