Have concerns about the neighborhood that you would like to see addressed? The number one way to do something about that is to join the board.

Do you get any financial benefits out of joining the board? Absolutely not! No pay. No reduction in dues. You volunteer your time and work for free. You will probably have someone angry at you at some point as that is the nature of being part of an HOA. You may just get someone who thanks you for your work, and that is amazing when it happens. Otherwise, you are protecting your own investment in your home and the quality of life by helping to ensure your neighborhood is maintained and improved.

Does anyone like an HOA? Who knows? Does the HOA need to function for your property and property value not to collapse? Absolutely! How does it function? By having people who care about their home and the quality of their neighborhood doing the work.

The board should be composed of at least 5 homeowners to be the most effective and meet the needs of office holders. Due to health and other life updates, the HOA board is currently fewer than that and shrinking.

The board currently meets every 6 weeks online (previous years it was once a month). Meeting online means you can meet from the comfort of your home. Meetings typically last about one hour. We are in regular contact by email between meetings for items that need to be addressed between those meetings. The board sets the priorities and goals. Our property management partner then carries those out.

Do you care about your home and neighborhood? Do you want this to be a nice place to live? If the answer to those is yes, please contact Focus Property Management to nominate yourself for the board. Homeowners will then vote for those who are nominated at the annual meeting on July 2, 2026.
