Free HOA President Tree Trimming

I've finished my personal project of trimming up by hand the trees along the Meadow Creek property line. This is donated time to the neighborhood at no cost to the HOA. I've tried to create a bit of a canopy path between the Meadow Creek fence and the patios of the townhomes facing that fence line. I've also, with the help of my husband, attempted to trim up the trees within the neighborhood where the limbs grow over parking spaces, sidewalks, and roads. We tried to trim them so that the limbs are not hanging down in the way of walking, driving, and parking under those trees.

We've had an estimate from a tree trimming service of $30,000 in tree trimming they suggest we need. The HOA does not have that type of money available as we also have urgent roofing and road surfacing needs, so I'm trying to reduce that somewhat by doing some of the tree trimming myself.

If nothing else, I get some exercise out of it.
